Brownie Oatmeal Gems Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 ounce Semi sweet Chocolate
- 1/4 c. Margarine or possibly butter
- 2/3 c. Corn syrup light
- 2 x Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 4 c. Oats old fashioned
- 2/3 c. Brown sugar, hard pack
- 1 c. Walnuts, coarsely minced
Directions
- In 2 qt saucepan, stir chocolate and butter over low heat just till chocolate melts. Remove from heat. Stir in corn syrup, Large eggs and salt. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour chocolate mix over dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 min. Cookie won't change much during baking. Cold 5 min on cookie sheet. Remove; cold completely. For Chocolate Dipped Gems:Dip half of each cookie in 4 ounce. melted semi sweet or possibly German chocolate.
