Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c. golden sugar firmly packed
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Directions

  1. Beat together sugar and butter till light and fluffy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking pwdr and salt. Stir into creamed mix. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degrees F oven 1 hour or possibly till cake tests done.
  2. Remove from pan and cold on rack.
  3. Makes 1 cake.
