Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Brian's Pretzel Cookies

Directions
- Mix sugar, butter, lowfat milk, egg, vanilla and almond extract. Stir in flour, baking pwdr and salt.
- Cover and chill at least 4 hrs.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Divide 1 part into 12 equal pcs. (Keep remaining dough refrigerated.) Sprinkle about 1 tsp. colored sugar on board. Roll each piece of dough on sugar board into pencil-like strip, about 10" long. Twist into pretzel shape on ungreased cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining dough. Bake till delicate golden, 10 to 12 min. Makes about 4 dozen.
