Bread Dunking Cajun Garlic Shrimp Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 dozen shrimp
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/4 pound and 5 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcesterhsire
  • 1/2 c. shrimp stock (beef bouillon, carrots, celery, 3 shrimp, simmered)
  • 1/4 c. beer, room temperature

Directions

  1. Rinse shrimp in cool water; drain. Combine stick of butter, Worcestershire, garlic, and seasonings in skillet. When butter is melted, add in shrimp. Cook 2 min, shake pan instead of stirring. (Don't over cook.) Add in 5 Tbsp. of butter and stock. Cook for 2 min, shake pan. Add in beer, cook 1 minute. Serve in bowl with lots of French bread for dunking.
