Boondhi Raita

Ingredients

  • 3 c. Fresh curds
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3/4 c. Plain boondhi
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Grnd sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli pwdr Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt powdered
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. Coriander minced finely

Boondhi Raita

Servings: 1
 

Directions

  1. Crush mustard seeds coarsely with a stone or possibly pestle.
  2. Heat 4-5 c. water until it comes to a boil.
  3. Add in boondhi, stand for 2-3 min, drain.
  4. Run under tap water in a colander, to cold the boondhi.
  5. Press out excess water.
  6. Beat the curds and lowfat milk together until smooth.
  7. Add in all remaining ingredients, including boondhi.
  8. Mix well, refrigeratefor 1-2 hrs.
  9. Serve chilled.
