Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Grease a 10 x 1 1/2 pie plate.
  3. Mix apples and spices; turn onto the pie plate.
  4. Beat all remaining ingredients until smooth; about 15 seconds in blender or 1 minute with hand beater.
  5. Pour into plate.
  6. Bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. About 30 minutes.

    Hi Desiree...I generally use tart apples for most baked goods. They are firmer, so they keep their texture better. I also like the tartness combined with the sugar. Red delicious apples will still work, and you probably could cut back a bit on the sugar. Expect the pie to be a bit "mushier" than you are probably used to, though.

      what if I only have sweet red delicious apples? can I just cut back on the sugar? will it still turn out?
