Ingredients

  • Equal amounts of beer and flour
  • Lg. white onions, cut in 1/4 inch slices and separated into rings

Directions

  1. Mix equal parts of beer and flour. Stir gently and let stand all day, uncovered. Dip onion rings into batter and deep fat fry till golden brown. These freeze beautifully and will also keep in a hot oven - especially good for an appetizer. They can be reheated in a microwave. This batter also works for other vegetables such as zucchini strips, mushrooms, and cauliflower.
