Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. coarsely minced pecans
  • 4 lrg ripe bananas, peeled and cut into diagonal 1.5-inch pcs
  • 3/4 c. Myer's rum
  • 1/4 c. frangelico liqueur
  • 1 quart good quality vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. Heat butter in large saute/fry pan, then add in brown sugar and pecans and continue cooking over medium heat till sugar is melted.
  2. Add in bananas to butter-sugar mix and cook about 2 min till just tender. Add in rum and liqueur; then, when it bubbles, light with match AND STAND BACK!!! Shake pan to distribute flaming liquid, spooning it over bananas to coat fruit well. As soon as flames die, spoon over prepared bowls of ice cream and serve immediately.
