Ingredients

  • 5 x Bananas Flour for dredging bananas Veg oil for deep frying
  • 1 x Egg
  • 250 ml Ice cool water
  • 125 ml Flour sifted with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Honey

Banana Fritters In Tempura Batter (With Honey Sauce)

Directions

  1. Method:Heat the oil in your deep fat fryer, frying pan, or possibly wok to 375 degrees F, 190 degrees celsius. - Mix up the batter ingredients with a whip till somewhat frothy. - Cut the bananas into 1 inch / 2 1/2 cm chunks. Roll them around in the flour till lightly coated. - Dip a few banana pcs into the batter and fry them till golden brown coloured. Drain on paper towels. Do in small batches till they're all done.
  2. Heat honey in saucepan or possibly microwave till liquid and warm; pour this over the bananas (a few pcs per person). Extremely good with vanilla ice cream.
