Ingredients

  • 6 med Baking apples -- cored and Peeled half way down from Stem end
  • 1/4 c. Minced walnuts
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. Maple syrup
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 c. Lowfat sour cream
  • 1/2 c. Buttermilk

Directions

  1. Place apples in greased shallow baking dish. Mix together nuts,sugar and cinnamon and fill centers of apples. Drizzel syrup over apples, add in water to dish. Bake at 425 for 25-30 min. Cold on a rack, basting occasionally with pan juices. Cover and chill. Beat together lowfat sour cream and butter lowfat milk till well blended. Spoon over baked apples.
