Aunt Pearl's Banana Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cups sour milk
- 1 cup mashed bananas (three)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
- Stir flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs together. Alternate mixing flour into the sugar mixture. Add mashed bananas, and then add the sour milk which has baking soda mixed into it. Add vanilla. Bake in either 2 buttered and floured 8 inch layer cake panns or 1- 9x13 pan at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
