  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 3/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. buttermilk or possibly sour lowfat milk
  • 2 T oil or possibly melted butter

Directions

  1. Sift flour, salt, sugar, baking pwdr and soda together. In a bowl, beat egg, add in buttermilk and oil and beat lightly into mix. Add in other ingredients, stir till mixed with no lumps. For added flavor, add in a couple of tbsp syrup to the batter. Makes 1 dozen 4-inch pancakes.
