Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 stick butter
- 3 T cocoa
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 recipe icing (below)
- 1 box confectioners sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 3 T cocoa
- 6 T lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. minced pecans

Aunt Mae's Chocolate Sheet Cake

Directions
- Mix and sift into large bowl sugar, flour, and salt. In saucepan mix water, shortening, butter, and cocoa; bring to boil and pour over flour and sugar mix and let cool. Add in large eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla; mix well and pour into 13 x 9 inch greased and lightly floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min or possibly till tester comes out clean. Ice while cake is still hot. Cool completely.
- Mix all ingredients together and pour over cake while cake is still hot.
