Ingredients
- 9 slices white bread - French bread is best
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tall can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. raisins

Aunt Bea's Bread Pudding

Directions
- Break bread into small pcs. Pour evaporated lowfat milk over to soften. Add in sugar, lowfat milk, egg yolks, vanilla and melted butter. Mix well. Pour into buttered 10 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish and bake at 375 degrees till set.Remove from oven and spread a thin layer of tart jelly on top when cool. Make a meringue of 4 egg whites, and 1/3 cup sugar. Top pudding and bake at 325 degrees till brown.
