Appetizer Sausage Balls In Blankets

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp curry pwdr
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 lb bulk sausage (warm or possibly mild)

Appetizer Sausage Balls In Blankets

Directions

  1. Mix flour, curry, paprika, salt, and cheese. With pastry blender, cut in butter till mix resembles coarse crumbs. Shape pastry mix into ball with hands. Cover and chill at least an hour. Shape sausage into small balls. Fry till browned. Drain on towels. Divide dough into as many pcs as there are sausage balls. Shape dough around balls. (Dough may be crumbly but will form.) Wrap and freeze.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 F and bake on cookie sheet 12 min. (Careful with baking time since they burn easily.)
  3. Makes about 3 dozen.
