Another Peanut Butter Cake with Strawberry Preserve Frosting Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 8” cake pans.
  2. Sift together flour, powder and slat.
  3. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, peanut butter and vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy. Stir dry ingredients into batter. Add milk and mix until blended.
  4. Bake 30 minutes and let cool.
  5. Frosting – Cream butter and 1 ½ C. powdered sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Add peanut butter and the rest of the sugar, adding milk.
  6. Assembly – Place one 8’ cake on plate. Spread strawberry preserves over the top of the bottom layer of the cake. Frost the sides and top of the cake with the frosting mixture.
