Almondigas (Meat Balls With Rice
Vermicelli

Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped pork (or possibly beef)
  • 1/2 c. grnd shrimp (optional)
  • 1 onion finely minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. misua (rice vermicelli)
  • 2 gloves garlic
  • chicken (or possibly shrimp) stock pwdr
  • minced spring onions
  • salt and peppper to taste

Almondigas (Meat Balls With Rice Vermicelli

Servings: 10
 

Directions

  1. To the pork and shrimp, add in minced onion, egg and seasoning. Shape into balls. Saute/fry the garlic and onion and add in the chicken stock pwdr wtih 3 c. of water and bring to boil. Drop the meat balls one by one into the stock. When cooked add in misua (rice vermicelli) and season to taste. Serve warm.
