It’s exciting to know that food can be your best weapon against disease! I could go on and on about how many foods do some super terrific things but here is a short list because I don’t want to burden you with a novel...

Cancer: Not only do certain foods help slow cancer growth, they can also help prevent it from starting. You may have heard this a 1000 times but eat fruits, vegetables and plant foods in a rainbow of colors to get the best results. There are phytonutrients such as sulforaphane in broccoli and egallic acid in strawberries that are proven to not only help your body heal form disorders but will stave illness from even forming! Plants, fruits/veggies and seeds are also packed with anti-oxidants and fiber. Did you know that Turmeric shows promise as a spice that kills cancer cells?

Anti-inflammatory diseases: foods can reduce the chronic inflammation behind many chronic degenerative diseases, pain, and premature aging. Surprise- Anti-inflammatory foods include “super foods” such as fresh fruits and vegetables, monounsaturated fats, ginger, turmeric, green tea, nuts and seeds, and a wide variety of real, unprocessed foods. By eating this was you and limiting inflammation causing processed foods and avoid foods you are sensitive to you will feel better and live longer. Hooray to that!
