About me
I am a seventh grade English teacher, and live with my husband and two pets, Cavalli the Bengal, and Gusteau the poodle. My husband and I were married a little over a year ago, and we bought our first home just a few weeks before that. Crazy!
I actually used to hate cooking (gasp!), but with more stable work hours, I began to spend more time with it. Now, the times when I am cooking, are the times when I feel most at peace. I am so fortunate that I have a husband who enjoys-and is good at-cooking. We have a blast together in the kitchen.
I also enjoy reading, shopping, writing, fashion, home decor/renovation, and cuddling with my pets.
Cooking Influences
I have to give credit to Rachael Ray because she got me into cooking. As my culinary adventure has become more refined, I look to Ina Garten as my inspiration. If you like Ina, you have to love Julia Child too, so I am having a lot of success with both of their recipes and techniques.
