About me

I am a relatively new empty nester from the big city who now lives in a teeny town in the mountains of Colorado. While I cooked before, I was not very invested in it. Chipotle and Noodles & Co. were my best friends. Well, no more! The closest Chipotle is two mountains and an hour away. The only restaurant in my town closes at 2 pm. The nearest grocery store is 18 miles away. So I've had to dig out those pans, buy some new tools and get cooking!

Cooking Influences

I am mainly influenced by my lack of takeout restaurants and my newly discovered soy allergy. Man that stuff (and its sly cousin soy lecithin) is in nearly everything.
