I am a single mom of 2 beautiful boys. I love to cook and I love to throw things together to see what I can come up with.

Cooking Influences

I was influenced by both my father Jack and my Gran Ms. Vera. Gran wasn't a fancy cook, but she always took pride in everything she did cook. My favorites were her Cherry Pie, 5-cup Salad and most of all her Country fried potatoes. She tried a few times when I was younger to make biscuits from scratch, but I was too young and all I wanted to do was play with the left over dough. Now that she is gone I wish I had paid better attention. My father taught me how to make homemade country gravy. Now there is some good eating.
