I started a food blog over a year ago and have always enjoyed sharing recipes~ why keep them to yourself?
My Mom, my aunt Gloria and many other relatives were wonderful cooks and bakers! I like the Italian chefs Mario Batali, Maryann Esposito, Lidia Bastianovich, and Giada Laurentis, to name a few. And I just love Alton Brown, Sara Moulton, and Ina Garten, to name a few! Food blogging is a hobby and I am not a professional chef, but as a retired teacher, I know we are never done with learning! Cooking and baking courses online are great and one of my favorite magazines is Cooks Illustrated which gives all the science behind the techniques. I believe it is really not just about the recipe, but it is mastering the techniques in the recipe that separate the "good" from the "superb" cuisine!
