Winter Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup powder sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup Dutch-processed cocoa
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup eggnog
  • 1 (6 oz.) vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 (8 oz.) cool whip
  • 1 tsp. peppermint extract
  • 1 tsp. peppermint schnapps
  • 3 small candy canes, ground

Winter Dessert

Time: 30 minutes prep, 10 minutes cook
Servings: 20
 

Directions

  1. Crust: Beat flour, margarine, butter, sugar, salt and cocoa together.
  2. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggnog, yogurt until smooth.
  5. Spread over the crust.
  6. Spread chocolate chips over the filling layer
  7. Topping: Mix cool whip, peppermint extract and schnapps.
  8. Spread over the chocolate chip layer.
  9. Sprinkle candy canes over the topping layer.
  10. Decorate.
