  1. Stir the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Beat the egg yolks with 1/2 c. buttermilk. Then add in the remaining buttermilk and butter. Stir into the dry ingredients. Mix in the egg whites, beaten to soft peaks. Fry on a greased griddle, turning once.
