A celebration at an 80 year old restaurant inspired me to try this recipe at home.

My big girl has been on a long journey to become a nurse. A BS in Nursing doesn’t stop there. She had to pass the California State exam before should could start looking for a job. And you thought college was hard, try finding a job as a brand new graduated nurse.

As a proud parent we all had to celebrate this special day and went out to dinner at an establishment that has been an icon for 80 years. One of their appetizers was rare beef glazed with teriyaki. At table-side you can continue to cook the beef over a flaming pot.

After we were all just raving over the beef, wishing there was more, I decided to give it a try at home.

We used candles to continue cooking the beef, and it was fun trying it at home.

I am blessed to have such a wonderful, hard working family. I wish my big girl the best in her future and pray she lads a job soon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
