French Dressing With Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic pwdr Tomatoes, cut into wedges Lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. In a jar or possibly airtight container, place all ingredients except last two. Shake well. In a bowl, place tomatoes and sufficient dressing to cover. Let stand several hrs at room temperature. To serve, remove tomatoes from dressing with a slotted spoon; place on lettuce leaves. Drizzle with dressing.
  2. Makes 3 c. dressing. Dressing can be stored in refrigerator for several weeks.
