Easy Garlic Fried Rice Filipino Style

This is the common breakfast of Filipinos. Usually being paired to dried fish, eggs, coldcuts like hotdogs and ham.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice (leftover rice is OK)
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Spring onion, garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Melt the butter together with the oil in a hot pan.
  2. Saute the garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add the rice.
  4. Stir thoroughly until every rice is covered with the butteroil
  5. Cook for 5minutes to make sure the garlic and butter are infused well in the rice.
  6. Sprinkle with fresh spring onions.
  7. Serve.
