Ingredients
- 3 strips bacon
- 1 sm. onion, sliced
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 (1 pound size) cut green beans
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 hard-cooked egg, sliced

Dutch Style Green Beans
Directions
- Fry bacon crisp. Remove and crumble. Drain all except 1 Tbsp. drippings. Add in onion and brown lightly. Stir in cornstarch, salt and dry mustard. Drain beans, reserving 1/2 c. liquid. Stir, reserve liquid into skillet mix. Bring to a boil. Blend in brown sugar and vinegar. Add in green beans and heat thoroughly. Turn out into serving dish and garnish with egg and crumbled bacon. Serves 4.
