Here i present a very healthy version, especially for diabetics a dessert made with Dates and Nuts.                                   Dates are naturally sweet and full of nutrients. Although not allowed in large quantities for diabetics, it is any day a better option compared to other sugar-laden sweets. The  Dates and Nuts  Kheer does not use any sugar. By cooking with Dates this dish is completely guilt free for people who are diet conscious and those with diabetes.This recipe is just the ticket when you’re craving something sweet.This Dessert tastes Yummm. Ingredients:- Dates / Khajur  - 10 Low Fat Milk - 3 cups + 1/2 cup for soaking nuts Almonds / Badam - 1 tsp Cashewnuts / Kaju  - 1 tsp Cardamom Powder - 1 pinch Saffron - 1 pinch (Optional) Method:- 1) First remove the seeds from dates if not seedless and chop them into small pieces. 2) Then soak the dates and cashews ,almonds in 1/2 cup milk for 30 mins  until they become a little soft. 3) Grind them into a fine paste in a mixer or blender by adding a little milk but make sure not to make the paste runny. 4) In the pan, boil 3 cups of milk, when it comes to a boil and reduces into 3/4th put the flame on low and add saffron strands. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. 5) Switch  the heat off and add the Dates and nuts  paste. Add powdered cardamom powder and mix well. 6) Garnish it with chopped almonds or pistachios or walnuts. 7) Serve hot or You can also refrigerate the kheer for up to 1 hour and serve chilled.
