D.'S Holiday Punch

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 pkg. (.21 ounce. each) unsweetened soft drink mix (any flavor)
  • 8 c. cool water
  • 2 cans (46 ounce. each) unsweetened pineapple juice (chilled)
  • 4 bottles (33.8 ounce. each) ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 bottle (4/5 qt) rum or possibly vodka (optional)

Directions

  1. In 10 qt punch bowl, dissolve sugar and drink. Fold in cool water. Stir in pineapple juice. Slowly add in ginger ale. May be "spiked" with rum or possibly vodka if you like. Just before serving, add in ice.
  2. Tropical Punch flavor is a favorite for the holidays. Makes 60 (5 oz) servings.
