Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Corn meal
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Soda
  • 1/4 c. Shortening
  • 3/4 c. Lowfat sour cream
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted butter

Directions

  1. This makes really tender and tasty biscuits. Mix first six ingredients together. Mix shortening, lowfat sour cream and egg together and then add in to dry ingredients. Pat out dough and cut with biscuit cutter. Mix sesame seeds and melted butter together and spread on top before baking. Bake at 400 or possibly 425 degrees.
