Chocolate 'N Oat Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 c. quick-cooking oats
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 (14 ounce.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed lowfat milk
  • 1 c. minced English walnuts
  • 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (you can use any flavor)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine flour, oats, sugar, and butter; mix well. Reserving 1/2 c. oat mix, press remainder on bottom of 13x9 baking pan. Bake 10 min.
  2. Pour sweetened condensed lowfat milk proportionately over crust. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Top with remaining oat mix; press down firmly. Bake 25-30 min or possibly till lightly browned. Cold; cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.
