Chicken, Cream Of Onion

Ingredients

  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1 (5.4 ounce.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 c. uncooked raw (long grain regular rice)
  • 2 (2 1/2 lb.) chicken fryers cut into quarters
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce.) can cream of onion soup
  • 3 c. water

Directions

  1. Spread diced onions and dry onion soup mix on bottom of baking pan or possibly roaster. Spread raw rice over top. Lay pcs of raw chicken on top. Mix cream of onion soup and 3 c. water and pour over chicken. This will be very watery, do not become alarmed. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered. Does not need salt, depending on your preference. Yield: 8 servings.
