24 Hour LettuceSalad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/4 c. minced onions
  • 1/4 c. minced celery
  • 1 c. sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 pkg. frozen English peas
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 teaspoon sugar
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Bacon bits

Directions

  1. Shred lettuce.
  2. Layer lettuce, onions, celery and water chestnuts.
  3. Break peas apart and spread over top.
  4. Cover with mayonnaise.
  5. Sprinkle on sugar.
  6. Completely seal with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Top with bacon bits (just before serving). Chill overnight.
