I wanted something different to do with potatoes. I thought about what I could do. Hash Browns, sliced baking potatoes, and mash potatoes in one dish is different!!!!

  • 2 cuos shredded hash browns(THAWED)
  • 1 8oz sour cream
  • 1 packet of good seasons salad dressing(HERB AND GARLIC)
  • 1 large baking potato
  • 1-1/3 cups half and half
  • 1 8oz bag shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 4oz Idahoan Buttery Homestyle mash potatoes

Directions

  1. Grease 9-inch baking dish and spread hash browns in it.
  2. In a bowl combine sour cream and dressing packet,and spread mixture over hash browns.
  3. Peel and slice baking potato, and layer over dressing.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, or until baking potato is tender.
  6. In a sauce pan bring half and half to a boil. Reduce heat and add cheese, stiring until melted.
  7. Pour cheese sauce over baking potatoes.
  8. Bake another 5 minutes.
  9. Make Idahoan potatoes according to package.
  10. Spread mash potatoes over cheese sauce.
  11. Bake another 5 minutes.
